Just came back from the recruitment talk by UBS. The networking reception was very well recognized, because each of the 50 staffs from UBS has a different colored tag, which represents the different departments, so that it is easy for students to consult them on each of the 10 departments. The most funny thing is, my friend Leonard is color blind!!! Haha~ He's so funny! Coz while I took care of Jan and he went to recee the staff, he had to go so near the staff in order to read the words on the tag, coz he could not differentiate the 10 colors! Oh man! It was so so so amusing! Sorry Leonard, haha~ I was laughing myself away just now!!
Ok, back to UBS. It has about US$600 billion in assets as compared to Barclays Capital's US$1.9 trillion. But seriously, when a company has more than $100 billion, it's considered mega! I mean, between $100 billion and $500 billion, there's simply not much difference to me, coz both are infinity, let alone $600 billion and $1900 billion... I had a good chat with Leona and Seow Ing, all thanks to Jan!
What I like about UBS is the corporate culture that is so family-like and so cool! The image it portrays is really different from Barclays, which is just professionalism and competence. Above and beyond both of these attributes, I feel the fun and enthusiasm from the staffs. Such attributes will determine if you sink or drown, ok, I mean if you swim or drown.
I'm gearing myself up for UBS!
