1996 - paternal grandma returned to soil
2000 - maternal god grandad returned to soil
2003 - maternal grandad returned to soil ( 7 August 2003, 1537hr )
2007 - paternal 2nd uncle 二伯 returned to soil ( 23 September 2007, 1730hr )

二伯 is just like my grandad, as the saying goes, 長兄如父. As you can see from the list, my paternal grandad did not appear because even my Mum hasn't seen him before. As such, 二伯 is the one upholding the entire Chen clan of 8 siblings and taking care of the farms and lands that were left behind. When my parents parted while I was still a toddler, 二伯 traevled many times to look for my Mum, brother and I, with each journey amounting to 8 hours in total, despite the fact that my dad has already 'abandoned' us at that time. Not only did he come, he came and brought us finances and stuff. He visited us for probably an hour, but the journey was 8 times more. I believe that the love he has for my family needs no further elaboration.
