何謂易經?《易經》（“易”，音同“亦”）又稱《周易》，是中國最古老的文獻之一，並被儒家尊為「五經」之首。《易經》以一套符號系統來描述狀態的變易，表現了中國古典文化的哲學和宇宙觀。它的中心思想，是以陰陽兩種元素的對立統一去描述世間萬物的變化。

In simpler term, it is actually a complex yet accurate way to perform prediction. During the Romance of Three Kingdom era, 孔明諸葛亮 often performed 易經 before a war. If the prediction points towards failure, he will not permit the war. 易經 is not a religious practice, but it is often associated with religion due to its prophesying nature. In fact, it is a kind of Chinese art. My 大舅，who is my Mum's elder brother is a faithful Christian, yet he mastered the art of 易經。Not many people know about this, and even fewer people can master it. My 大舅 will often advise my Mum before she makes any major decision.

So why am I suddenly talking about this?

Before I begin, let me set the terminology right:
Mum's current 同居人 a.k.a partner = 叔叔 or uncle
淑叔's Mum = 阿嬤 or grandma
濟公 = a god who looks like a beggar and often carry a gourd shaped bottle which contains wine

Last week, grandma called her younger brother and my mum over. Grandma's brother has this abilitily to be possessed by 濟公. So when they gathered at grandma's place, they were just chatting. Of course, peanuts and wine were prepared so that grandma's brother can be possessed. After some conversation, suddenly, 濟公 possessed him and the show began!

濟公 first revealed that uncle's ex-wife is back from Canada. This time round, she wants to squeeze more money from uncle. But uncle doesn't know that all his ex-wife wants is his money, and he refused to share with his family. So, he's right now in negotiation of how much to give. Just a glimpse of what happened in the past. Uncle's ex-wife brought their 2 children to Canada while leaving uncle behind. Of course, she got all of uncle's NT$10 million+, leaving him with almost nothing. That is about SGD$5 million+. I think she has already squandered all the money away, so she's back for more.

Ok, the main story is that uncle is not treating my Mum well recently. They used to be very close, but nowadays, they're like strangers in their hearts. There was once Mum asked him where he's going out of concern, which he will normally tell. But since his ex-wife returned, he said things like "妳難道不可以給我一點空間嗎?" If couples cannot even be transparent to each other, then I think the game is over. 旁觀者清 當局者迷。What a tragedy it is to be doing foolish things, yet not realizing it? Haiz..

濟公 told my mum that he saw the things she's going through, and he feels his pain. Mum just kept tearing...

Just now, 濟公 called my Mum to meet at grandma's house, coz he got something to tell her. So she went. The first question he asked was "妳有三個孩子對不對?" My Mum got a shock, and I got a shock too! It took quite a while for my Mum to recall. My Mum actually had a boy before my brother, but after discussion with my Dad, they felt that they weren't finacially stable enough, hence they aborted it. So I actually have 2 elder brothers and 1 younger brother! AMAZING! Haiz... 濟公 then continued on my uncle's issue, which I shan't dwell further.

To me, I always embrace Buddhism and Taoism as philosophies. But why is it that they prove themselves so real over and over again? They're always giving prophsies and word of knowledge, they're always revealing things that we ourselves might not know or have forgotten. They're always reminding us, encouraging us and helping us. Why oh why?
