FOREWORD

Everyone has a story to tell, but few have the courage to face the darkness unreservedly. My life is like cappuccino, bitter but sensual. It’s like a bed of roses, with hidden underlying thorns. It’s like a sentence, a life sentence. I wouldn’t call this a memoir or an autobiography; I call it a story – My Life Story.

It ain’t the most fantastic tale, but out of it springs the facets of life. This story is written purely from memories that I hold on to, some are vague, while others are vivid. In as much as possible, this story will not deviate too much from the truth. Some details are intentionally excluded, so that firstly, readers will not be stumbled; secondly, readers can decipher for themselves.

This story will be broken down into 4 main chapters, namely: life before seven, freedom and independence, when boys become men and first. These chapters depict the refining stages in life; growing from a toddler, passing by adolescence, preparation for manhood and finally the birth of courage.

May My Life Story be an inspiration to all, be a lesson that shouldn’t be learnt twice, be a source of strength to the oppressed and be an encouragement to the faint-hearted.

Yours,
