lovin' you

I've had enough of Embxxxy Production! Previously, they paid me $30 instead of $80 for a short production! I've just received a call from them after sending an e-mail regarding the payment status of the transcript done before CNY 2007. The girl blamed me for not sending my invoice over, and she said "this is common sense". According to my puny brain with little depth and limited knowledge, invoice is a commercial document issued by a seller. It is normally issued by a corporate entity which contains the company's letter head and invoice number etc. (Correct me if I'm wrong) As such, how do I issue invoice? The most I can issue is a receipt in lieu of payment, but the payment is not even processed yet. Well, so this is the uncommon common sense that she is advocating, which is totally unconventional and unprofessional.

Thank God for inequality of sex! If she were a guy, I think the ending would not be my silence. Perhaps, she should go to the different temples tonight to offer burnt offerings to the gods for allowing her to be Josephine. As much as I might not be very eloquent, nor very proficient in the mastery of language so as to play around with metaphors, idioms, foreshadowing and exercising profound vocabularies to create a pandemonium with a delicate stroke of unsophisticated tinge, nonetheless, silver and gold I have not, but what I have, thee I give: 三寸不爛之舌,語不驚人死不休。

Jo, must you be so demeaning and condescending? I hope that you realize the contrast of my tamed silence and discipline with your rudeness and uncontrolled, unreasonable annoyance and frustration. Alas! Be slow to speak, slow to wrath, and let your ears be swift to hear, lest calamity falls upon your rashness.

I've come to realization that the most horrible people in terms of pride and arrogance are neither the rich nor the poor, but those in between, those wannabes. The rich are secured with what they have and who they are, hence they do not need to thow their weights around. The poor live a simple life without hatred and competition, they just want to do their part and live on happily. The wannabes like to throw their weight around to create and instil unnecessary fear and anxiety. They like to flex their financial muscle in a flamboyant yet stingy manner, so that people would know who they are. They need to rely on their material possession and titles to know who they are, but what if one day they lose everything, does that mean that they lose their identites as well?

The greatest tragic in life is to rely on external entities and even material things to determine who you are. On the contrary, it is really admirable to have healthy self-esteem, that despite possessing none of those riches, glory and honor, one can still be satisfied and live a joyful life. Sounds like 哭泣的星星。
